Mr. Shafi Uddin Ahmed FCA, Son of Md. Abdul Wahed, was born in 1960 in a respectable Muslim family in Brahmanbaria. He obtained his master in Accounting and MBA with a major in Finance from the University of Dhaka. Mr. Shafi is a qualified Chartered accountant and fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). 

Mr. Ahmed has 33 years of a professional career in various reputed national and international organizations having extensive knowledge in finance & accounts, management, leadership, strategic planning, and business operations in various capacities. He has received professional training from institutions at home and abroad. Mr. Shafi also has expertise in implementing fraud control mechanisms and compliance. He is instrumental in cost control and moving organizations to profitability. Mr. Shafi is an Independent Director of GQ Ball Pen Industries Ltd.
